Cookie Policy

How MYACHT uses cookies and similar technologies on myachtsystems.com and in the MYACHT mobile applications.

Last updated: 8 July 2026 · Effective date: 8 July 2026

1. Summary

We keep our cookie footprint deliberately small. We use no third-party advertising cookies and no cross-context behavioural tracking. The MYACHT marketing site collects anonymous pageview information via a first-party beacon (no cookie required). Where cookies exist on our properties they are strictly necessary for site or application operation.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember preferences, and to provide reporting information. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB — which are used in the MYACHT mobile applications to enable offline operation.

3. Cookies used by the marketing site (myachtsystems.com)

The public marketing site does not set third-party or advertising cookies. It does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or any comparable advertising / behavioural-tracking tool.

Pageview information (path, referrer, timestamp) is recorded via a first-party beacon endpoint at /api/analytics — no cookie is set, no persistent identifier is stored, and IP addresses are not retained for user tracking.

Any strictly-necessary cookies (for example, session cookies used during administrative or authenticated flows on this domain) are first-party, expire when your browser closes or shortly after, and cannot be disabled without breaking the affected functionality.

4. Storage used by the MYACHT mobile applications

The MYACHT iOS and Android applications use local device storage (SQLite, IndexedDB, and the platform’s secure keychain) to enable offline operation. This is not a cookie in the browser sense, but has similar privacy implications: it stores your account and vessel data locally so the app keeps working without an internet connection. Data is synchronized with our EU-hosted backend when connectivity is available.

5. Sub-processors and their cookies

Where MYACHT integrates third-party services (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Sentry for crash reporting, Fly.io for hosting), those services may set cookies on their own domains when you interact with them directly. We do not embed those third parties in the marketing site. A current list of sub-processors is maintained at myachtsystems.com/sub-processors.

6. Your choices

Because the marketing site does not use analytics, advertising, or cross-context tracking cookies, there is nothing to opt in or out of for those purposes.

You can disable, block, or delete first-party cookies at any time via your browser settings. If you disable strictly-necessary cookies, some parts of the site or authenticated flows may not function as expected.

For app-side local storage, uninstalling the MYACHT mobile application removes all locally stored data from your device.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the tools we use. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
